DAY CARE OPTIONS
We understand that some IPAC'15 participants may be interested in obtaining child care services during the conference. The Richmond Region Tourism office provided the list below of child care providers in the area and they should be contacted directly for availability and cost information.
Nanny Poppinz Greater Richmond1
24 hours, 7 days a week
6 North 5th Street
Children would be admitted as temporary students and would need to meet the requirements (immunizations, etc.) as regular students.
(1) Care.com, Nanny Poppinz and River City Sitters are web based services. The parent(s) would need to register and give specific information on the children, days and times service is needed, etc. It is my understanding the call for help goes out through their network of available sitters/nannies. All staff have been background checked. The cost would be individually priced.
(2) The YWCA (on 5th Street between Franklin and Main streets) operates a day-care center. They could possibly take children on a temporary basis, provided the children meet all of their basic requirements and there was class space available.
Jefferson Lab, Jefferson Science Associates, and IEEE do not make endorsements or recommendations for any particular provider.
